Last bowl of goulash this semester

We’re not done with the fifth year until we get our index signed…this horrible, horrible Hungarian tradition!
I had 10 subjects this semester and now I’m finally done collecting signatures.

This week is my last week in Budapest, as I am moving all my stuff home to Norway.
I’ve given away a lot of notes, but I will be posting notes from the 2nd year to the 5th year during the summer also!

My dad drove all the way from Norway for my to take all the stuff I have accumulated during my five years here. We’ve calculated that it will fit…all of it. Nice.
Although the rain has been pouring down, so there was not much to do in the city, my dad and I went to Noa restaurant by Nyugati to have a last bowl of goulash. Good stuff.

Earlier this week (after my final exam in Emergency Medicine) Steven and I went Iguana’s to grab a bite. T-online also cut my internet, so I had to check my email. Amazing how dependent one gets on this highway of wasted hours watching pandas sneeze and never-ending American tv shows. By the way, I went to T-online at WestEnd to see what the problem was and it turned out I had never received the bill for March and thus never paid it. But check this out: I could pay in cash on the spot! It was a Sunday and I didn’t have to wait until Monday to get in line at the magyar posta! And I got my internet back that same day! A Sunday!
Here’s my expression when the lady at T-online told me this.
And here’s a picture from Buddha Bar (one of my favorite restaurants in Budapest) as I’m going over some old questions from Emergency Medicine.

Also, on my way home I saw a “small” bug that apparently came back from his Biochemistry or Anatomy final exam. Completely crushed.
Just glad I didn’t see this guy in my shower early one morning…

One last thing.
Hungarians complain about the trams and metros all the time. I love it! (and so does this guy)
Just wanted to mention something cool. At the end station on the red metro (by Ikea), they have a sign telling you where everything is, with braille for the blind passengers! Way to go BKV.
